This is really hilarious! I love your description of audience reaction to atonalism, the cockroach, the shower creative process, the denouement -- just the whole thing! One of your funniest and most entertaining!
It’s interesting watching composers in the audience when the symphony is playing a newly commissioned piece. At that point, they’ve already shared their vision with the musicians during rehearsals. Now they want to see the audience response, though, I think, the entire audience and not just an ex.
