The people whose manifestos get attention have typically just shot up a school, so I thought, for a change of pace in modern times, wouldn’t it be nice if a stable person (if I may be so bold to flatter myself thusly) were to write one.
Emma, Brilliant, great principles, gentle directions. I love this. One that works for me when I m depressed, anxious, fearing the end (Im 78) is to stop and start a gratitude list. What a rapid balancing force this is for me.
Thank you, John! I love gratitude lists. They help for depression but also boredom or overwhelm or any state of annoyance. I tend to always start my gratitude list with my socks! It's a gift to have comfortable, dry, cozy feet. And very presencing to start there.
You're very welcome! I have tried to be other people and it doesn't work out! Thank you for being a brave leader in your community and for your readers.
Wish I could have organized my life's principles when I was 38, but Luke was the oldest of 3 at 5 yrs old so... I'll just take yours and run with it until you make revisions.
I'll let you know when there are updates I must make for us! Feels like 2025 is already throwing some... new ideas into the mix. Based on national and world events alone.
What wisdom!!!! Thank you for sharing it with us ✨✨✨The one that struck me most was on status. Reminded me of a quote by Zadie Smith "I think the hardest thing for anyone is accepting that other people are as real as you are." ♥️♥️♥️
I’m 77 and I endorse these principles!

Emma! Even though we’ve never actually met, I can hear you in all of these comments. Thanks for being so fully yourself!

Brilliant Emma!!! I especially loved your comments on mental health and taking care of others. I cant wait to see you and Luke next month. Love, John
We are so excited!
Brava. Thank you for this inspiration!
❤️❤️❤️🍁 thanks for reading, Kate! See you soon!
Love your writing abilities and your generous values shown in your work.
Thanks so much for reading, John! I love you.
So glad I read this, Emma. You are indeed wise “ beyond your years”. People are lucky to have you in their lives.
I’m so happy you read it too! It’s wonderful to have you out there receiving my writing.
Lovely and useful. And, by the way, I’ve always admired the way you can access your ‘feral self’ without inflicting violence on other spirits.
That’s a beautiful compliment. I’m gonna think on that heading into some new collaborations.
